Q.U: What do you like about where you grew up?
D.A:
So I lived in an apartment close to the school and that was great. Would go to the park with my parents and siblings on chill days. And played football with my friends at the park as well.

Pexel photos (can't believe I used this for a park hahaha)

Q.U: Everyday life, a typical day. From when you were in high school maybe?
D.A:
I would wake up at 7AM and have breakfast then I would be at the school around 8AM. Classes started at 8AM and we were done by 5PM, mostly because we had other activities at the school too. The rest of the evening, I would do homework, have dinner a little past 7PM, take a shower and then go to bed. My friends and I only hung during the weekends.

Q.U: How connected are you to your environment?
D.A:
*laughs* whoa, that is a complicated question. I mean, I go out as much as I can, because I only have classes on zoom so I force myself to go out everyday. This means walks in the park so that I can get some fresh air, because I can't be in my room all day. I have a room almost as similar to the one I had in Pasvik, but a little bigger so you can imagine staying indoors all day. Other than that, I do actively sort out garbage and avoid taking the bus or metro (even better now).

Q.U: How often do you use social media and what effect does it have on your life? Does it disrupt your studies? Make you think differently about your body or do you only use it for pure entertainment?
D.A
: I don't have social media anymore, because I spent so much time on it that I decided to uninstall my Snapchat and Instagram. It's insane that you just pull out your phone and start scrolling down while you're waiting for the bus or waiting for food. It really is. I do have people that I talk to on these platforms, friends that live far way so it's the only way I can talk to them that's why I have not deleted my accounts. Sometimes, when I feel lonely, going online is the worst idea because I just see happy people and I'm out here feeling down. Everybody has moments like that were they feel lonely, and it's normal. My advice would be to avoid going online where you might feel worse. Do other stuff.

Q.U: What is special about your name?
D.A:
Well, my parents named me Dorian after the book 'The Picture of Dorian Gray', because they loved it. The book is written by Oscar Wilde.

Q.U: What type of music do you listen to? Genres and so on. Also, give your top three all time
D.A:
I listen to a lot of American and French rap music. My all time top three? That's...I can't. But my three favorite ones at the moment. Okay, I have Conversations by Juice WRLD, I have, no let me name three American ones for now, not the French. Okay, I have, I'll come back to you by Powfu and one last one, Bop by DaBaby.

Q.U: What kinds of places do you go on holiday, or would you like to go?
D.A:
Right now I would love to go home, to Paris to chill and not stress and have fun. But I would also really like to travel to the US-meet my favorite artists haha and Japan. Japan has so many stuff, so much going on its; insane. I have some friends that went there and they told me its beautiful and that people are nice. So yea, I would like to go there.

Q.U: What is your favorite dish? Is it connected to your nationality?
D.A:
My favorite dish is Chili Con Carne and it has no connection with my nationality. I don't know where it coms from, maybe it's from Brazil or I don't really know. My dad really makes it so good and that's how I started liking it.

Q.U: Can you imagine yourself living in the opposite part of the world? What do you think you would be up to right now?
D.A:
I don’t know, maybe I could speak more French if I was in Senegal. That would be nice, I would probably be working and meeting new people. Hanging with friends and learning about new cultures. I would be living my best life in Senegal!

Q.U: Can you think of something you are not sure about but would have done if you had the chance to?
D.A
: Nice, uhm, I don't know because I think that I'm the kind of person that does stuff when I set my mind to it. I do things no matter what. Of course, there's a lot, but right now I can think of the fact that I could've done more when it was lockdown. Because I didn't do anything and it was many weeks wasted, I feel like I lost a lot of time. I feel like I could have tried a lot of different things. I didn't have the motivation to do anything because I was sad I guess..

Q.U: Do you really think that one day people will just be people? That we will look past skin color, race and live together?
D.A:
I would like to, but I don't think its possible because there will always be someone at the top. Like, the elites and then those that live in poverty and are starving. It's very sad, that the winner takes all, and there will always be a winner, if we can call it that. It would be nice if it could be possible, but I don't think so. I will fight for it, fight that we'll get there because I would want that we all get a fair chance.

Q.U: About your career, do you already have in mind what you want to do or are you just getting by?
D.A:
I have no clue, I mean I am studying Political Science, but I can be so many things that I can't make up my mind. I can work for WWF or some international organization for the planet and/or animals. I could also work for the European Union. There are so many opportunities and the future looks bright.

Q.U: What can be said about you based on your style?
D.A:
I don't know. I mean lately, I have been just in the room so I haven't been wearing any jeans. I have mostly been wearing sweatpants, they are very cozy. Before all this I would still just be a random guy, nothing special. Not even gangsta style *laughs*

Being tough in Pasvik!

Q.U: When was the first time you got your first phone. Do you remember what it was?
D.A:
It was a very small Nokia, I was eleven or twelve. I had just stared a new school so I was excited.

For visuals only:)

Fun fact: I have a lot to say- well, no, I'm joking. Not much. I was born in Jerusalem so I would love to go back there and see how things are going. That's a big part of me so I follow a lot of debates about Palestinian and Israeli. I don't think there are a lot of people that are born in Jerusalem and that live in other places in the world. I'm not a good singer or a a dancer, but I am a DJ!
