Happy 18th Birthday Janet!

When I was two years old, my mom gave birth to a baby girl.

She wasn't the cutest baby at all, trust me... (dark humor?)

She started talking way earlier than most kids her age did, and that was a sign already that she would be a crazy little one.

I don't have a lot of pictures from our childhood

My big sister and I loved scaring the hell out of her and teasing her, there's a little song we used to sin so softly and slowly with a sad face that would eventually make her cry:

'Iemand willll huiiiilllll', and then she would just start crying!

This not-so-cute baby grew up and became my bestfriend
I remember we would get sick if we spent more than a week apart from each other (for real).

<insert hearts?>

We would play dolls together and my mom would buy us matching clothes...
Hairstyles exactly the same.

People would ask if we were twins, they sometimes still do!

The not-so-cute baby turned into an awesome human being
Somebody that I cried and laughed with
Somebody that I argued and fought in the kitchen (or bathroom) with.
Somebody that became my human diary, exactly that.

As she got older, my heart started breaking a little when she started having friends and did the things we used to do

My heart would break a little when she started confiding in her friends
When she spoke too much about her friends or
When she spend a lot of time with her friends...

But it never broke entirely because at the end of the day, she and I would always make time for one another, always.

You're finally 18 now and I just want to wish you a happy birthday
I've said it before and I'll say it again;

I LOVE YOU SO MUCH
I PRAY THAT THE ALMIGHTY GOD WILL WATCH OVER YOU
AND BE YOUR STRENGTH WHEN NOTHING SEEMS TO BE OKAY
I HOPE YOU KNOW THAT
I WILL ALWAYS BE HERE FOR YOU,
NO MATTER HOW FAR I MIGHT BE.
YOU'RE AWESOME, JANET!

I know you hate being called 'little sister', but hell what? You will always be the little one:)

My best wishes to you on this day, I hope you have a blast and I miss you so so much, can't wait to see you again... we'll talk for hours and hours just like the good old days!

HAPPY 1818 (mak somer kak vandag)!

glowing hearts, big sis
