So we are going home, see how long it took me to do this, but here it is: Home Sweet Home!

Q.U:What do you like about where you grew up?
J.U:
The community. I grew up in the locations that would be considered “the hood”. I am saying the community because of the interactivity, everybody knew each other and the drama was unmatched. It felt like growing up in a telenovela, that is how dramatic the people were whenever something happened. I especially loved how all of us youngsters in the neighborhood Would come together and play hide and seek in the middle of the night. I have so many crazy stories about where I grew up that I could take hours speaking about it. Therefore, what I like about where I grew up is my community, basically the people.

Q.U: What are your thoughts on religion? Are you a religious person?
J.U:
When I think about religion the first word that comes to mind is diverse. There are so many religions out there and it just humbles me enough to know my views on certain things do not necessarily apply to others. Yes, I am religious but not scrupulously, actually I have lots of friends that are atheists and those that will go above and beyond for their religion. I might not agree with their views and opinions but I respect them enough to know that we are all different and therefore will not have the same views.

Q.U: Everyday life, a typical day. From when you were in high school maybe.
J.U:
I woke up whenever during the time that I stayed at the hostel, because I was also the school head girl so that was that. First period was around 8AM so I just had to be at school a bit earlier. Apart from a normal school day, I had meetings mostly and then would have more meetings with the girls club.

Q.U: How connected are you to your environment?
J.U:
Not at all really, I live in the city so there’s not much nature around here, or I don’t get time to get around to it.

Q.U: How often do you use social media and what effect does it have on your life? Does it disrupt your studies? Make you think differently about your body or do you only use it for pure entertainment?
J.U:
Not that often, I freeze my apps sometimes. I’m not really a social media person, but YouTube, yea that disrupts my studies. I like Pinterest too, and then I just follow links and end up spending a lot of time online. Honestly, social media has made me insecure, you know, all those perfect girls. Girls with rarely any fat or stretch marks. It's always about how to get rid of belly fat or stretchmarks. I tan during the summer, so talk about colorization, evenly toned skin and kids with swag. That’s social media.

Q.U: What is special about your name, if anything?
J.U:
I’ve never thought about it, jeez. Everybody calls me Jenny. Jeninsia is also my name. My dad`s name is Jacob and mom's name is Sanna so my big sister made my name up, somehow.

Q.U: What type of music do you listen to? Genres and so on. Also, give your top three all-time favorites.
J.U:
Soulful. I like music that makes some feel like it’s hugging me. Music that has meaning and flow, that's what I listen to. I also listen to a lot of K-pop, I love that. My top three would be Comfortable by H.E.R and Hwasa's Nobody Else The third one would be Griff’s Mirror Talk. Other than that, I really do listen to a whole variety, like hard rap and anything that my mood feels like.

Q.U: What kinds of places do you go on holiday, or would you like to go?
J.U:
I would love to go abroad. I want to travel more in Namibia too, all I’ve seen are the bad sides of Namibia and I know that there are beautiful places out there that tourists come see every year. So, I would like to start at home, visit parks, lodges and so on. Appreciate the beauty of nature here.

Q.U: What is your favorite dish? Is it connected to your nationality?
J.U:
Ha-ha, not to be a stereotype, but I love donkey meat and porridge. Of course, It's connected to my culture, I also love milk, straight from a cow and the milk foam. Gomasan it’s called.

Q.U: Can you imagine yourself living in the opposite part of the world? What do you think you would be up to right now?
J.U:
The opposite side, I would probably be travelling, using local transport. I love their transport. The effect and quality of transport in some countries out there. The fact that countries are so close to each other once you get to Europe for example, I would really be travelling a lot.

Q.U: What is the last thing you bought today?
J.U:
I bought two-minute noodles. I will be studying at night so I decided to spoil myself ha-ha.

Q.U: Can you think of something you are not sure about but would have done if you had the chance to?
J.U:
I think I'd get a tattoo or a nipple piercing but you know how black parents get. They give me that looks like 'girlllll...!'

Q.U: Do you really think that one day people will just be people? That we will look past skin color, race or whatsoever and live together?
J.U:
I think one day but we are far away from it. It's overwhelming. Like we here, the majority is black so maybe we don’t feel the racism or as it is in the U.S. Here it’s more like tribalism and colorism that’s going on, but I know that once we get out there, out into the real world. We will feel what racism and all that is like. Maybe we have even gotten used to it and we don’t see it really. Here, blacks keep to themselves and whites to themselves and that’s it. More racially segregated.

Q.U: About your career, do you already have in mind what you want to do or are you just getting by?
J.U:
I think that I’ve made up my mind about studying. Like what I want to do is clear to me. Get that degree sis. I’m still growing, I`ll see if my interests change and if so, I’ll just do something that I like. That’s for sure.

Q.U: What can be said about you based on your style?
J.U:
I wear anything. I don’t really have the money to buy the things that I want, so mostly tomboy shxt. That mostly, maybe I’m still to grow and change my style, we'll see.

Q.U: When was the first time you got your first phone? Do you remember what it was?
J.U:
It was a Samsung, the one with the keyboard and the touchscreen, I got it in 2015. Before that I used my moms’ phone, shared. But I got my first real phone officially in 2015 *laughs*

Q.U: Fun fact about you?
J.U:
Well, I can’t think of anything right now but let me see. I do roller-skating at the University of Namibia`s main campus where I am based. I speak English, Afrikaans, KKG , German (did it for 5 years in high school) and I’m learning Korean. I love Korean artists and I watch K-dramas so eventually I want to stop using captions and just understand.

Babes>!

Thank you so much for reading, we have about two official interviews to go and two more which I have not decided entirely on. Initially I only wanted eight but this got way fun, so I`ll post two more (or three) and then the project will take a new toll where I will make each interview into a small book and make something, like a give away or something. We will see, for now, thank you much for the likes and reads, my blog has been receiving a lot of love lately and it's all thanks to you. I appreciate it!
love, Queen
